Bacteriostatic Sodium Chloride:
- Hospira brand 10ml, 20ml & 30ml Bacteriostatic Sodium Chloride is a sterile, multiple dose vial.
- The bottle was made for repeated withdrawals.
- Each milliliter (ml) contains sodium chloride 9 mg and 0.9% (9 mg/ml) benzyl alcohol added as a bacteriostatic preservative.
- May contain hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment. The bacteriostatic saline solution’s pH is 5.0 (4.5 to 7.0).
Sodium Chloride is chemically designated NaCl, a white crystalline powder freely soluble in water. Bacteriostatic sodium chloride differs from bacteriostatic water in that it contains added NaCl; bacteriostatic water has no added sodium chloride.
